I believe this is a scam. I let call go to answerphone, message said they were checking 2 charges, 1 from Amazon, 1 from international banking.
Nuisance call, Automated. Telling me that I am being investigated for tax evasion
SCAM James (with a non English accent) called to tell me that my (non existent with Domestic appliance that he purported to be from) home contents insurance had expired. I hung up, didn't have time to call him out on his fraudulent activities today.

Sends vulgar sexually harassing what app messages
SCAM Claimed I had authorised payments to Amazon and money transfer and wanted me to press 1 or 2. I hung up.
SPAM - Been phoned a few times and decided to answer. Somebody gave me her name and said where she was calling from asked me to confirm my name. I did not but asked where she got my number from - she hung up. Very rude. I'll be blocking this one.

This number called me at approx 11.27 am. Caller addressed me by my first name but that was all I could understand, the noise going on in the background (His) drowned out everything else he was saying. I would describe the noise as though he was calling me from a very busy PUB. I told the caller this and hung up. No attempt was made to call me back. SCAM
SCAM Called to say my home appliance cover will be discounted. Gave the name of Chris Jones and a contact number of 08007789104. Gave him false sort code and account number to see where this was going. He asked me to "confirm" my date of birth also gave him a false date, he missed the fact it was April Fool's day. As he was about to terminate the call I pointed out the date and said all the stuff I'd given him was false and hung up. He called back asking what I meant, then called back again, to
