Purports to come from Talktalk. Recorded message from Shirley saying that they are going to cut off my internet as my IP address has been compromised.
This person called. No sound. Unsure it's machine or system to cheat phone bills.

A lady with a very thick Indian accent told me she was calling from Microsoft in Reading, England and asked if I was the owner of a computer as my ???(couldn t make out what she said) address had a lot of mysterious activity lately and that she have access to my computer to sort this out! "Really!" I said then put the phone down. Total scam!!!
When you answer they know your name. Claim that insurance cover on your washing machine and freezer is coming to an end & they need to send your new policy documents...And at the same time they will send you details for a new D.D mandate., However before asking for your address they ask for your Bank Sort Code and Account Code. When you refuse to provide they turn snotty and say they can't complete the policy and close the call down. Clearly a SCAM to get your bank details and address
Computer Scam. Purported to be from Microsoft, which is a now well known scam.
I have had 32 calls in the last 2 weeks, rang customer services and all they wanted was my name and telephone number so they could put it on some mailing list. gave them the number & told the due to nursing an terminally ill relative the calls were neither wanted or welcome. got told on the other end of the line because of the way their system was set up they needed number, name and address. NOT A CHANCE, told them if they carry on i would start a campaign on Facebook & also would be in touch with Ofcom & t
