SCAM about HMRC concerns about my tax.......
Scam from "HMRC" Its clearly a call centre in India, so I had a fun time winding "Sharon" up until she got angry and disconnected the call

I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. Said that she understood, I had lost money in an investment and would I like to get it back, I asked how she got my name and phone number and she immediately hung up. This is obviously a scam,
Said there had been unusual withdrawals from my bank account, one for £800. Never asked my name, never said which bank. Put the phone down.

I never answer the landline (to avoid giving scammers/spammers the knowledge that my landline is a valid number). I researched the number but could not find a legitimate index entry, so I conclude it is a scam and not to be trusted at all. Potentially dangerous. Very rude man with poor English trying to upgrade my new phone which did not exist! Apparently he had permission from Vodafone to call me with upgrades to this imaginary phone. I have never used Vodafone but he told me that he had taken calls from my current number arranging for the mystery new phone which was due to be delivered. I would imagine Vodafone would be very annoyed by this kind of cold call criminality.

Absolutely no idea why Vodafone are calling me...I'm with EE....but I had several calls from this number over a few weeks; all were declined as I don't answer unknown numbers. Got my phone bill today and have apparently been charged for sending photo messages to this number, which is absolutely impossible!!! Will be contacting EE tomorrow...
