Highly suspicious call from this number requesting permission for remote access to my PC. The caller had poor spoken English so it was hard to comprehend much of what was said, but he claimed he was representing the University of Manchester. He said he was calling from India (which was consistent with very poor spoken English) but I strongly suspect this was not a bona fide call. He provided an ID number (Y9440AP) which did not sound genuine. I did not give permission for remote access to my PC

Caller said they were from "Microsoft Corporation". They asked for information about my computer, telling me that they knew there was a problem. I kept them talking by asking questions. The caller got angrier and told me that they would be "seeing me tomorrow" before ringing off.
