I ve had several phone calls from this number over the last few weeks. Indian man, tries to get you to confirm your name and address, your postcode, age etc which I have always refused. Then asks about the brand of washing machine you are using, Is it Hotpoint, is it Indesit etc, trying to lead you into saying "YES". Rang saying getting cheque for 3K for PPI but wanted ?300 gift card before handing money over. They rang several times to ask if got card so when wife home she answered and asked for company registration number from vague response was clearly a scam to get money.

Sounded like a computer generated call and when connected it sounded like a callcentre with background voices. they then hung up
TAXES / HMRC - claim that you are a tax evader and that there is a warrant out for your arrest.

They call and ask you for a one time payment to support a magazine to go into schools regarding bullying. ONCE. ONE TIME ONLY. You do not sign a contract, you do not enter into an agreement. They then persistently call you and ask you for more money as apparently you have entered into a contract. this is a potentially high risk dangerous number.. Ask for their bank details and tell them that you are going to be charging them for the call.. its one pound per minute.. they will then hang up
