Why is there no category for the "your computer has a virus" scam? These people claim to be from Microsoft technical support - hint, Microsoft has no way of knowing that you have a computer, let alone if it is infected with a virus - and want you to give them remote access to your computer to steal your data, or bank details, or lock up your computer and demand a ransom, or just plain scam you for "fixing" something that wasn t broken in the first place. They try to talk you through looking up a licen
