Mistakenly answered - it simply clicked off - presumably adding our number to endless harrassers' databases. Luckily, another call I'd missed is also now continually dialling dailly (despite answering), so I can safely (once more) ignore them all. I remember when the phone used to be a means of communication, rather than intrusion - targeting the most vulnerable. This one's probably dangerous.
When I tried to politely decline advertising, I was told abruptly that the caller would call me again next year! Very aggressive and unnecessary.

These incessant calls come from Homerton College, Cambridge and form part of their fundraising campaign, thus it s fair to recognise the number and purpose as trustworthy. However, the number and timing of calls (some after 10pm) has left me with no choice but to block the number.

Complete scammers. Had them call a number of times. Sometimes say they are based in London but use the Reading area code like this number. They like the Reading area code 01183 and the London ones 020. 020 0859 5535 also appeared on my call log within a minute of this call. Sometimes quite aggressive. Definitely Scammers.
