SCAM
Somebody purporting to be "Ellie from Options" texting me about my non-existent job application, asking for my address, email address, national insurance number, copies of passport, birth certificate, proof of national insurance, copy of my Cscs card (whatever that is!) back and front, 2 x working references. Obvious phishing exercise. Fraud
caller said they were from amazon - about my account. I don't have one!
Caller hung up without speaking when I answered the call.
SCAM Selling cheap mobile phone deals
It's like a SPAM. The caller claimed that he is calling from O2. But when I pressed, he hung up.
Safe number
Genuine number, Here2there couriers based in Stoke-on-Trent
Didn't recognise the number, left it for about 7 rings, then answered and it cut off with the disconnected tone. Highly suspicious.
Tried the 'we need to check some transactions on your account' trick. Told him to 'go away'..... only thing is, the number appears to be a genuine one. Looks as though it may have been hijacked.

Caller asked "How is your Broadband"? I answered OK and put the phone down.
SCAM
Ladies beware! Online dating scammer, he asks to transfer money to him, which can never be taken back. The plot he used with me is: An International security agent, Belgian living in the UK, who is deployed in Afghanistan. His bank account was blocked. then his enemies are tracking and attacking him.
