SCAM Call states that your credit / debit card on your Amazon account has been charged several hundred pounds. Press a number to speak to customer services SCAM. Tried to call the number from a (private) landline number does not exist BEWARE
I received a call from this number this morning. The caller had my name. When I asked who was calling, the man stated that it was Direct Claims Group regarding the minor accident I'd had. I replied that 'You must mean the minor accident that I haven't had!' and told him to get off the line. When I checked Companies House records, there were two companies called 'Direct Claims Group'. One was dissolved in 2018 and the other in 2019. So the call was definitely annoying and probably suspicious.
Fraud
suspected scam call
rung 1030am. unknown number so didn t answer no message left
She said something about .....Marketing? No idea!
Just called my landline. Male indian type accent - Slow speaker, used some strange (not common english) phrases, poor to understand what he was talking about. Something to do with BT landline costs. Talking about half price (or free) for next few months. He knew my postcode and clearly my landline number. I hung up at that point. I suspect a scam of some sort - but did not want to invest further time on it. A nuisance call.
