I could not understand a single word that the caller uttered. I told him so, and he hung up.
I keep getting numerous unsolicited calls on my phone. I never answer them and I immediately block them but I keep on receiving more calls.

Obvious scam number as no message was left on the ansaphone. I do not answer any numbers I don't recognise - except my local ones and mobiles.
