Tell me why companies still use payed lines for telemarketing (some other reason than scam?) Did someone answer any number of this range?

This number must be part of the range of numbers dedicated to the same call centre - I can see more similar numbers of the same range 12149607xx reported here already, so far as I can see on internet with car accident chasers, insurance claims. People did they call you with something new, new scope?

Said they were inland revenue that I owed money and unless I press one on phone I would be shortly arrested.

A woman called regarding a claim form, said it was for a car or bus accident. I don't have a car and haven't had an accident on a bus. I only answered as this is a local number for me. I then said I had to go and hung up.

Unsolicited call - caller identified as from 'AC Services'. When challenged on who AC Services are, the caller launched into the standard script 'It's regarding the recent road accident'. We haven't had any recent road accidents. Time waster at best - more likely a scam. Told him to go get a proper job and hung up. Blocked!

"Insurance Review" - cold call - no idea where they got my number from. And the guy was rude when I said I wasn't interested!
