HOWEVER the scammers are very devious these days and can call you from genuine phone numbers. I know this because this has happened to me. Luckily I was suspicious and was not scammed. Male voice, indian accent. All I could understand was "I am calling you today......... mam". I asked him to speak slowly and clearly, he repeated the garbled content and I told him I didnt understand and needed him to speak slowly. He hung up. Sounded like a typical phishing call. Sad he hung up, I like to play them along for a while just for my entertainment and waste their time.
