Automated call to say that I had renewed my Amazon Prime subscription and that my bank account had been debited £79.99. Don’t use Prime so it must be a scam!!

These people rang me on 01782887349 about 6 months after I tried to use them for a quote. The caller could not pronounce my name correctly and I was unable to make out which Insurance Company she represented. She rang off when I used my "old fart" I can t hear you dear, routine. The company was in fact useful in that originally they informed me of "3" YES "3" to blame claims in my name. I now have none and it was a task to get in touch with the CUE Database people, the BBC, journalists and other insurers
This number keeps calling me. Posibly a charity? Any ideas? Thanks.

Phoned every day for weeks by this company. No let up
Ambulance chasers. Told "John" that I was on TPS, he didn t seem to know what that was. I eventually made him understand that his company would be fined for continuing to ring me.
An Indian or Pakistani sounding lady called me from 01618268047 claiming to be from BT and telling me that I would receive a discount on my future telephone bills. She asked me for my date of birth, Christian name and name of my bank which I foolishly gave her. She then asked questions about my computer and phone whereupon I hung up. Clearly some sort of scam. I then realised that I’m not with BT so she got that wrong. Worryingly she knew my name and address. Where do these people get this information from?
