Missed call from this number in Bristol to Irish mobile. I was suspicious about this but figured it might be genuine since it was from the UK? I called back, somewhat against my better nature, and was immediately put through to an interactive voice menu with a strong US accent, which asked me to hold and started to read out menu options. No company information whatsoever given so it immediately felt like a scam to draw me in and keep holding, presumably to rack up charges. Hung up right away. Avoid.

SCAM / SPAM - automated message from HMRC regarding tax fraud and Says press 1 or a warrant will be issued for your arrest and the police will be contacted. Pressed one spoke to an operator, all I gave him was my name (luckily there are several people with the same name - when he was told I was on benefits He said ‘hang on a moment’ the hung up after a long pause. Please be careful people this is a a definite scam
