There are generally two companies involved in a scam like this. One with the telecom resources and telesales staff makes the nuisance calls, and then another follows up the leads generated. Some have identified the latter company as “PPI Advice Line” whilst others have suggested Redhawk Legal Ltd in Swansea following up on the leads. SCAM Pretending to be from BT re internet problems and wanted me to perform actions on internet equipment.

Answered to this number, heard a beep and was put on to hold music and a recording repeating "It is important that we speak to you". Hung up after I realised they gave no information about what company they worked for. Very annoying.
