This is a copy of an email I have just sent to HMRC: I have just received (10:30) a voice mail to my land line threatening me with expensive legal action from HMRC. The tone of the call could worry vulnerable people and I feel it should be investigated and stopped as soon as possible. The call came from 01613541022 and said if I did not return the call immediately legal proceedings would be taken against me immediately. My hope is that you treat this as a priority.
Rings then hangs up after answer. No sounds from other end so probably an auto dialler -> spam caller
English not first language. Called me but acted as if I'd called her. Weird.
