I didn't catch the company name but it was something to do with home cover - the man asked if I was me, so I said no but could I help. He said he was ringing about the cover on the washing machine at (gave my address), he said it had expired and he just wanted to check if the machine was still in good working order. Fraud. Got a call from this number claiming that I had been committing tax fraud, and if I didn't press "1" during the call, a warrant would be issued for me and I would be arrested immediately.
Supposedly the crime agency warning me of criminal activity that will suspend my national insurance number and get me arrested. Utter nonsense and obviously a scam.
