I keep getting scam phone calls claiming to be from bt openreach claiming my internet is infected and infecting my computer. Please warn others about this!
They called me but hung up before they told me who they are. After checking the tellows website, I still decided to ring back to find out who they claim to be. It sounded like an automated response, and probably just the start of a voice mail message, but they said they are: Home Shield Direct I have never heard of this company before; they might be trying to cold call me for a sale. I am not interested; I seek out what I want. This is a harassment call.

Pressed 1 to get another automated message to be told I was being transferred. Transferred through to what was obviously a call centre. I only did it out of curiosity as I knew it was a scam. since i got this number over 10 yeats ago i ve been getting various calls from organisations who are incompanemt enough to either buy old out of date information, or on being told their out of date and promising to delete, fail to do so. they get more money if the info looks legit resulting in me getting more calls from the next one in line

An Indian person called claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse asking for an upgrade even tho I never signed up from them in the first place! Be careful from imposters as scammers from India will bounce their phone numbers to a UK number making you think it's a legitimate number.

Claiming to be from my Internet service provider but could not give me any information to demonstrate that this was genuinely the case - didn't know my name and when challenged could not prove who they were calling from. Told me there had been issues with Internet connection in my area in the last few weeks and when I said mine has been fine they then changed tack and said they were calling to protect me from hackers. I cut them off and suggested my ISP contacts me over email if there's a genuine problem.
