Ring at all hours, always silence on the other end of the phone or hang up after a few rings. Its a premium number so I guess they are looking for people to call them back so that they can make money. Extremely persistent and annoying.
Caller (recorded announcement) claimed my mobile had been used for an IP hack and would be switched off in 24 hours if I did not "push button 1 to be connected to resolve this".

Called the number back, and yes customer is with talktalk and they had call screening in place. It seems a call centre is using this number as a mask to make calls from the internet, and therefore when you call the number back you don't get them but an innocent talk talk customer.

These are the same people who say they work for Beneficial/ring about a road traffic accident in the last 2 years/ring about your life insurance policy or any other thing they can think of to try to get sensitive information out of you. They never succeed with me but yet they keep trying almost every day.
