I got three calls from this number today in the space of half an hour I was lucky I came here to check before returning the call. Another scam number being added to my blocked list.

Fraud! Pretending to be legitimate debt help charity trying to get you to take out an iva to pay off debt. Lead generators committing fraud and preying on vulnerable people. Based in Manchester, uses names like Peter Munrreo, Frank Maccallan. Tells you calling from Stepchange but they arent. Please report to action fraud and block numbers.

cold callers

foreign guy said he was from a solicitors office, when i asked what solicitors office he said it was goldfish solicitors and he was ringing about a car accident i had (i don't have a car). he gave a name and address of someone that i had never heard of, then insisted it was me and i had been in a car accident.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17829306xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident claims, RTA, PPI - insurance management. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Human call, asking if I'd been in a car accident. even when I said no she asked if I was sure because her records had said yes! erm! I think I'd know more than what your computer is telling you! when i asked what car she was referring to or what name she had for me she ended the call.

came through as a local number but wasn't. Road traffic accident call centre. I'm furious that they can get away with showing a local code!!!

Fraud Introduced himself as my energy advisor from Southern Electric. I asked him for my account number, he hung up. Looking at the other reports it's a scam. In breach of both ex directory and Telephone Preference Service.

SCAMMER pretending to be HMRC. Very unconvincing

AMAZON 07813164904. Unsolicited call from this number. Originates from Russia. Tells you about £1000 transaction on your card account. Asks you to press 1 or 2 to contact Amazon. Obviously dangerous. Do not follow instructions, hang-up!. That is whet I did.

The SMS was saying: "DEADLINE! We have been trying to contact you RE your PPI claim. We are now aware of how much you are due. Reply POST for your pack or End to OptOut." - Be aware, do not reply and block or report it as spam ASAP.

Said he was calling from a company called molten and brown (not sure if Molton is correct but, something similar) Said he'd been passed my information because someone in the family have had an all inclusive holiday in the last 2 years. Said "wished I had but, no" He just said okay we'll get that information corrected and that was that. Strange.
