It happened to me yesterday and I only phoned the number because it was a free number. Also was persuaded to give them control of my computer until they said they wanted 200 US$. Following this, I contacted a local computer guy and he installed a Malware programme that cleaned up and took off about 60 potentially dangerous files/programmes.
