Just been called, and they asked for Mrs ********* [my mother]. I asked "no, who is speaking?", and was hung up on instantly. There was a bustling sound in the background, so it sounded much like a scamming call centre.

We had quite a few calls from this number a few months ago. It was some telemarketer, but I don t remember which company it (allegedly was). Either way, I m 100% it had nothing to do with insurance, but that s what they called about yesterday. Same number. We had written it down in case they call again, so we d block the number. When I answered, someone said he was calling from "Insure for Retirement". I said I wasn t interested and to please not call again. When I told them that someone else had called fro

The BeWise insurance company ignore tick boxes stating NO contact - they will contact you regardless. When you tell them to remove your details from their database, they still call the next year. The Ombudsman needs to investigate this company.
