01525 839582 claiming to be from TPS call barring asked my name and post code then the expiry date on my visa card, did not give this out put phone down, they rang again and tried to be persistent with expiry date on card, person spoke poor english, i have now received 5 calls over the last week,regarding the TPS barring service.

Silent call, so I'll report it to Ofcom as usual. If they had tried to scam me I'd have reported it to Action Fraud - please do the same, as the more reports they get, the better the chance of them doing something about it.

Also similar number called me recently, probably the same marketing company? don't wanna call back since I do not know the number - it could be just a robocaller testing if my number is responding, don't want to let them know my line is active... This number has been calling me lots of times over the past weeks. Finally got a 'live person' to speak. Just got called by this number for the first time, it was an Asian woman wanting to discuss a matter regarding my account with lloyds. She wouldn't tell me any more, unless I "confirm" my d.o.b. and post code; I declined and asked them to mail me instead. Rang Lloyds afterwards and they told me that no Lloyds number starts with 0808 and that there was no issue to discuss. My advice is to block this number.
