This was a call from a company asking me about my 'accident on the road'. I have not had an accident, so definitely a spam number. Avoid.

This number keeps calling me at home, but when I answer there is no-one there or it just disconnects.
Left voicemail pretending to be HMRC with very threatening tone. May be worthy of police investigation.

Same here., they used local number on display, told them they were LIARS! Can't find right place to complain to TPS on their site, TPS seems to be a waste of time?
Very rude man with poor English trying to upgrade my new phone which did not exist! Apparently he had permission from Vodafone to call me with upgrades to this imaginary phone. I have never used Vodafone but he told me that he had taken calls from my current number arranging for the mystery new phone which was due to be delivered. I would imagine Vodafone would be very annoyed by this kind of cold call criminality.
