Phoned at 10 pm. An announced call but I did not recognise the number and didn't pick it up

Had multiple calls over the last few months from people claiming to be from Vodafone.

got an email saying i was eligible for a tax refund aparantly this is a scam and the sender should be tracked and prosecuted.

Received unsolicited call from an Indian accented male who said my Virgin Media internet line was showing errors - stopped him and told him it was a scam and he was a criminal -...

Called me in the middle of an important interview. Very unwanted and not the first time.

Scam and fraud. Machine voice stating that they are my mastercard provider (didn't say which one) and that £600 has been taken from my bank by a foreign account. I hung up.

Idiots. Absolute idiots. DCA who are the scum of the earth. Won t take no for an answer even though they have the wrong person and number. Scum of of the earth/

keeps ringing for nearly a year now ive blooked them now but they try on other numbers I keep blooking but they keep ringing getting f**ng sick of them now

Again one of those calls reporting that you have been involved in a car accident. I don t have a car... It seemed like a recorded message and caller hung up when I twice answered that I don t have a car.

I believe this to be a nuisance call, My advise to others is If you have a answer machine leave a outgoing message to incoming callers saying that if this is a telemarketer or any unknown caller ringing, that this call is classed as harassment and an invasion of your privacy and that you will ignore their call". I monitor all my calls and if I don t recognize the number I just let the answer machine takeover, they never leave a message and since I have been doing this my unwanted calls have started to cease

If you receive a cold call from an organisation you don t know, just take as many details as you can, even if it s just the number and time of call and report it the Information Commissioner s Office (ICO) via this link https://ico.org.uk/concerns/ If enough people do this these companies will be fined - sometime pushing them out of business - and we can all enjoy owning a private phone again.
