A cold call from a Russian-based phone ... one doesn't need to give too much thought to that ... I obviously didn't answer.

An automated message told me a warrent for my arrest would go out immediately if I did not answer the call by pressing one. The man told me he was from hmrc, asking if I was employed or self employed. He then said, after asking for my name, the call was made to the wrong person on the wrong number and hung up on me!

They claim they work with suppliers associated with your company and state they want to work on a big project with you and your supplier. Obviously a lot of Google bashing goes on before they phone you. They refuse to speak to anyone or tell you anything unless they re speaking to the owner / managing director of the company. SCAM!! Received a call from "David" from carphone warehouse. He called me "Mam" on the phone, and when i asked him what my name was, he said their privacy policy didn't allow them to see names, just numbers. I said I didn't accept calls from people if they didn't know my name and his reply was "are you deaf or something?" I didn't get the chance to answer his question as he swiftly hung up! Clearly a scammer of some sort! AVOID!!

SCAM - 01902681798 claims to be from Amazon. A recorded message plays saying your Amazon Prime account will be renewed at 79.99 and if you have issues to press 1 to speak to a customer rep. This is obviously an attempt to get you to confirm personal details (I do not have an annual Prime account to begin with).

this humber calls my mobile every afternoon about 4.30. Have never answered as I don t recognise the number. Now know it is a telemarketer and glad I didn t answer! What a useful site.

When i did answer you could hardly hear them, tried to ask where i had entered this competition and they couldn t answer me as to what website i did the competition, just that i entered one for a mini, iPad, iPhone and ?10000. he then wanted my bank details, do not trust.
