3rd time in a week from this number. Blocked with BT but still gets through.
I got an automated call from this numer telling me I was accused of tax fraud and if I didn't press 1, a warrant would be issued and I would e arrested shortly. I think we can safely say this is a scam.

Called saying I d had a car accident. Recorded message when answered. Then was put through to a call centre agent who seemed very upset when I said I d report them as I m registered with the telephone preference service.
If one has the time available much fun can be had by engaging with these people, keeping them chatting and feeding them lies. After which, just block the number.

I have witnessed family getting harassment calls, invoices and debt collection threats from these stupid people. The magazine they claim to place ads in, is also aware of their scam and of course has no arrangement with them whatsoever. Report them to Trading Standards and Action Fraud and if they send letters, ignore them but keep a record of them so that when they do get caught (a matter of time) you can contribute evidence if required. Call centre stating that I may be eligible for loft insulation / help with my heating bills under a new government scheme. Caller went on to ask if I was a home owner and if I worked full time or if I was entitled to any tax credits and whether my heating was mains fed or fuel. When I picked up and say hello, there was only recorded answer that I need to call back this number because there is important stuff from HMRC that I need to sort out. Called today said he was Steve from TalkTalk and my internet connection was about to be shut off for 15 days. He would send a new router and cable to avoid this. He was about to ask me to follow instructions to re-set router, etc when I asked for proof he was from TalkTalk. He hung up! Funny though, we are actually in talks with TalkTalk about a new router and seem to get scam calls right after we speak to them!
