I made a purchase over the phone and instantly regretted it as I was worried I'd just been scammed, but I rang up Carphone Customer Services and it was a legitimate transaction that had gone through their system. He said he would give me his details so I could feel happier about doing the review but I declined saying I was not prepared to give out or confirm anything.

Recorded message from HM Rev and Customs, Officer Lisa Williams advising I had to ring urgently or suffer the consequences of legal proceedings. Asked to call back on 02080894397. 1 hour later there was another call but this time no message, 02080894571 seems to be linked to the same type of scam after searching on the number. Don't give them air space, and certainly don't call back, this is another horrible scam which will unfortunately pray on the more vulnerable in society. SCUM BAGS!!!!
Was called by this number early in the morning with an automated message regarding an Amazon Prime subscription I had not renewed and was going to be charged £95 because of this oversight. I could press one number to speak to an adviser and another to contest it. I did neither as it was clearly a scam. Interesting that this was a landline - it makes me wonder if they forgot to press 'number withheld'. Would think this could be investigated
