Had a voicemail from this no. (very scripted). Northern Gas & Power trying to sell energy. I don't think it's a scam (and if legit their reviews on trustpilot seem reasonable). That said it was an unsolicited sales call, and I don't look after the gas and electricity anyway!

This number tried to call me today but didn’t answer. I don’t recognise the number. Possibly a scam. I had 4 numbers starting with 020 try and call me on Friday.
They asked to confirm details of address, post code and gave names of people residing. I declined call to continue to protect our personal information being verified for whatever purposes as they did not give any information on the company or organisation they were working for.

A voice said he was James from Relief Energy who said; "I've been trying to call you for a few days now, actually." Well, nobody has been trying to call me when I was at home, and as I check my phone whenever I've been out, then I know for sure that it's nonsense so I just hung up. Definite scam. Claimed (falsely) to be Harry from Carphonewarehous3 in London calling because "we have a special offer on new phones today". I live in Scotland, he's calling from London claiming to be a big phone store. They would never ring me like that, nor you either. How could he have got my number legitimately? SCAM Told them to take the number off the list for a person with memory dissorder. After that they have called her daily. Telling her that she wanted them to call, and its the first time. Calling from different number.

SCAM called with an automated message saying that it's from the tax office and I owe tax and to prevent going to jail that I needed to press 1 to answer them. I haven't worked in over 20years so I don't pay tax so not even the smallest possibility that I would owe any. Also the tax office would never contact you by phone. Just and scam to steal money. Why don't they get a proper job.

Claiming to be calling from the "UK government" and "track and trace" asking about vaccination status and whether I've received a "vaccine certificate". Asked about the purpose of the call, she said it is to update my records. Informed her that is very interesting as the UK government does not issue "vaccine certificates" as it is all held in the NHS app. She then terminated the call. Suspected scam call beware.
