Just received a call from these chimps at 12.08 pm lunchtime, it even had a picture of the person calling, what a nerve. I use Mr. Number and True Contact on my mobile, the best 2 apps that I ve installed on my mobile, they warn you that it s a spam number calling and if possible, the name, whereabouts and if possible, the nature of the call and if it s suspected spam, it will cut them off. Saves me giving them a few choice words too.

These people pretend to be calling from Microsoft, telling you they have detected a virus on your computer, and if you don t let them help you and follow their instructions your computer will break down, they generally call you back if they feel you fit their demographic, which is elderly and vulnerable. They want access to your computer, do not tell them anything, report them.

Received a call on my mobile at around 11.30am, and was told I had a refund via PPI from a credit card or loan. Had to ask me which one and from which bank. (Should know all this before calling me, how else would they know if I m owed anything?) The representative of a bank, but not my bank wanted to advise me. He also went simply from the fact that I am with the said bank. I will not mention the name because I think that the man does not really work for the bank. It all sounded very much like sales pitch.
