Received a call from this number stating that its visa card fraud prevention. Lady asked if i want to authorize or cancel Amazon purchase of a gift card £300.00 She asked about BOB and Full name but when I asked to give me my name she said that she approves the purchase because i refused to give my name and hanged up. Sound like scam be aware!!!

Fraud: 09011490180 has been billed by Virgin Media as 3 outgoing calls from my Landline but my wife and I have not made these calls. The calls were apparently made on the 18th of April at 11.03, 11.18 and 11.40 with each call lasting exactly 11.06 minutes costing 35 pounds each. So far Virgin Media have refused to investigate these calls and demand payment. It is obviously some king of scam, which should be highlighted as soon as possible and safeguards put in place!

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. You receive a genuine text message from O2 with a security code. Brechin (Scotland) cloned number allegedly from 02. A scam offering 40% off your O2 account. - I know it is a 100% scam as (a) I have had one of these calls before and (b) I ceased to be an O2 customer 4 years ago. Suspect someone hacked their site or an ex-employee has flogged their data to scammers. Foreign guy said he'd send a special code in a text/email but to not divulge it to anyone - probably because everyone gets the same and they don't want you to compare notes!
Got a call claiming to be from BT Openreach saying our IP Status had been changed from Private to Public and our internet was going to be cut off. It was a very poor quality line in a foreign call center. They weren't able to give me any other details so I ended the call.
