Web development company from India using a false UK landline number. This is now the 70th call from an overseas company after registering a domain name yesterday. As a web development company of many years standing, we have never had this hassle before when registering new domain names for our clients. These people are like vultures!!!! I can t blame them for trying but for goodness sake, DO IT ABOVE BOARD, STOP HIDING BEHIND FAKE UK NUMBERS!!!

Asian lady called. Did not catch the name but said she was could claim back interest that had been wrongly charged to all my bank accounts and building society accounts over the past 20 yrs due to a new government ruling. She knew my name and address and telephone number, although she did get the postcode wrong. Did not correct her. Asked her to put the info in writing as was wary of any cold callers. She said OK and hung up. Interested to see if any info comes through the post!!

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8439418xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range?
