Supposed to be pc maintenance or windows tech support. Called from this number and also 004258967. 2 calls a day for 2 days so far. Indian sounding accents, very insistent and persistent . They said their number was 08000188351. Said they were calling with regards problems slowing down my oc on internet. I have reported to action fraud and suggest others do the same.

No. came up on phone didn't answer as not recognised.

I don't no who called me from this number as only family have it due to it been a new number

A large number of people have been called by the criminals using this fictitious number according to other sites. Their aim is to gain the confidence of people and persuade them to allow access to their computers so they can infect them. Yesterday I was out all day and when I returned I found no less than five calls from a slightly different but equally fictitious number, 01614379874, but still equally recognisable as fake from anyone who has had so many of these calls as I have. Foreign female voice said she was calling from Nationwide and someone at my telephone number had had an accident in the last 3 years. No-one has! Actually sounded like a recorded message as there was no response to comments I made! Belong to the TPS and getting really fed up with calls of this type.

This number called several times but left no message. As it was a local number I called back. It went straight to a recorded message & said I had been called by the NHS & would call back within 24 hrs. This is not an NHS number! My family are not under any hospitals or GPs for anything at this moment or indeed in several years. Other sites have this number reported as being untrustworthy.
