Fraud. I got a recorded message in an American accent saying that a criminal case has been filed against me for tax evasion. I think I am probably stupid enough to accept this and panic, but I don't believe it and burst out laughing. I think the accent tipped me of 'cause the patter was quite believable(NOT!).

Its a scam call that try to scared and take yout card number. The automated message asks people to press a button on their phones to speak to someone, warning that if they don’t they could face serious legal consequences.
This number has called me nine time over the past seven days on my mobile - the number of which I only give out to friends and relatives. I have never answered it and blocked it after the first call. It never leaves a message and today when I tried to ring it back it didn't give a company name but said (in a very strong American accent), "Your call is very important to us, please stay on the line and we will connect you with the next available agent".
