Caller (in a thick Indian / Asian accent) asked by name for a previous user of my number. When I said I wasn t that person and enquired as to who he was, he got very abusive and terminated the call. Almost certainly a scam of some sorts.
Actually an 0151 number masked as a number with your local area code (01254) in order to try and trick you into answering. Very sneaky. Blocked

I ve been called by this number and also 08435571598 - Scottish Power about carrying out a bill comparison . Explained we were not interested, happy as we were and to remove our number from their call list but this has obviously not happened as they still ring me nearly every day at least twice at different times of day & evening = 13 times in total since early September!

Called from a conveyancing comparison site I used a couple of months ago, trying to sell life and critical illness insurance.

kept ringing, hung up. its a computer calling many homes at once, and when you pick up, if they have staff available they will talk. if no staff, the call hangs up and calls another 100+ homes. very annoying. if not a scam, probably selling junk or ppi that you wouldnt have bought otherwise. AVOID

SCAM: call received at lunchtime on 7.5.2021 to work landline. Caller said they were Emily from Virgin Media about my internet connection. Queried why calling as this was not my internet provider and told that Virgin Media responsible for security of the entire internet! Then said she was in. Virgin Technical Dept. I missed a call from what appeared to be a mobile 07937933921 I rang back but no one spoke but found on my next bill that I had a charge for personal numbering to ring this number back and I have mobile calls included for free normally. Beware you will pay a premium to ring this number and it isn t an 070 number!
