Don’t waste your breath talking to these people. Put the phone down on them immediately or if you are so minded, just tell them to **** off . . . they’ll get the idea.
The Telephone Privacy Service also seems to be using this number. I received a call today from a mail caller using the same script that others have reported, On the basis of the background noise the call was from a call centre

Fraud. Automated message told me that HMRC is calling and there's a tax fraud case registered against me and if I don't press 1 on my phone right now, then they will arrest me shortly.

Rude. Said he would say I agreed to calls when I asked to be removed. Laughed. Said I would be called every year.
