As a 'local area coded number'... called it back only to be advised by BT ... "That this number is not active and that no charges have been applied. How can this be - one might ask. If the line/number is not active.. how did they make the call... unless 'line-number-spoofing' was used. The process of line-number-spoofing (showing an alternative number to that being used/called from) should be banned and illegal. Current technology does little to protect Users.
