Asian female reportedly from "Windows Tech Support" called to tell me that that they had received numerous error messages from my computer and that she was there to help. Ran off a load of numbers and letter supposedly from my computer licence and when asked to repeat it the numbers and letters did not match. When asked to supply I.P. address hung up. "Windows Tech Support" would never ring. Total scam.

Have had calls from variations on this sort of number to my mobile about once a month. Block each time but then get call from slightly different number. Car accident enquirer...but if you deviate from their script e.g. Ask which accident? They hang up. Nuisance but easy to recognise.

Had a missed call and so rang them back - company is Ascent Finances. Not a clue who they are or why they're calling. You can ring them back on 0161 820 1425 to have your number removed but I wonder if that opens up a whole new way for them to contact you. I'll just block

The call sounded very much as if it came from a call centre because I answered, there was a pause and a click and then someone answered from what sounded like a very busy office. He gave me an overly cheerful 'gooooood morning', which I didn't know how to answer because it's 4pm here. As I considered my response, the line went dead.
