HALIFAX FRAUD DEPT IF a payment gets red flagged this dept of HALIFAX ring to verify that it was you that made the transaction IF this number rings you just ring HALIFAX 0345 720 3040 for your own piece of mind and ask to speak to FRAUD DEPT (HALIFAX told me they had tried to ring me more than once)
Automated call - Didn't answer, then got a 5s voicemail of a Liverpool accent (phone had auto-identified dialling code as Liverpool) saying "ah right, OK, well we'll take you off our list then". I suspect this was an automated response after my voicemail "answered" to say not available, leave your message etc. and voicemail recorded tail end of the response. Crafty.

I asked her for the error numbers and how did they know and my husband was to blame for using naughty sites - she rang off, saying that I could chose to believe or not.

My virus protection app notified me this number was suspicious and I should not open the link, but delete the message.

I haven’t answered this call yet as I tend to not answer calls where I don’t recognise the number - I figure if it’s important they’ll leave a voicemail. I was getting consistent calls from another number in the same area as this one which I blocked yesterday, and now today I’ve already had two calls from this number in the same area. Foreign sounding pre-recorded message about a substantial VISA debitcard transaction. Obvious scam - messages from banks, etc do not usually start "Dear Customer". Use of an apparently local number is clearly an attempt to give it some credibility.
