I once answered the phone and asked who is it and they automatically cut off. I find it strange how this is becoming the norm all of a sudden. I refuse to change my number though if you call me, I think it is only right that you introduce yourself first. Since they did not I know they have something to hide!!! Fraudsters pretending to be HMRC in recorded message. Says to press 1 to speak to an agent or an arrest warrant will be issued then they try to take your bank details

This is a faux number (as in faux fur), as it's got too many digits i.e. it's a spoofed / fraudulent / scamming / junk caller. :-)

I received a text message from them telling me I owed them over £90 and to contact them regarding the issue. After speaking to O2 previously, they informed me that the number did not belong to O2; and because of this, I decided to do a little digging. After typing random numbers into the keypad when it asked for a mobile number, I was patched through to a lady called Tracy in their south African call centre for O2 (supposedly) telling me the outstanding debt of £90 odd quid was outstanding (which is bulls**

UK office of company called Arva Trans who do courier service between UK and Hungary.

Just received a call from this number, a female with an American accent, who wanted to ask a few questions (a survey, not selling anything). Asked where she got my number (we are with TPS) and she said BT. I explained there s no way BT would give out (or sell) a number registered with TPS. I explained it s illegal to coldcall TPS-registered numbers. I asked if she was calling from the US, she said no, it s a UK company but the call is being made from an offshore address. I said goodbye.

Constantly calls, asking for random named people, when you say wrong number they hang up. if you call them back you are diverted straight to music

I work in the reception of a ad bureau and person that sounded really queer called and what to speak to my managing director, i told that no calls was passing me without any further description, and he closed the line...

so far these scammers have phoned me 4 days in a row, 6 on day 1, 3 times day 2, twice yesterday and so far twice today.. When they actually do speak or you hear something.. its either a recording telling you your about to be disconnected from BT and press 1 to connect to bt.. premium rate number.. or you get a indian claiming to be from bt, or they just keep saying hello before putting the phone down.
