this was a recorded message purporting to be from HMRC. It stated that a letter had been returned to them and they were going to commence legal action. It asked me to press 1 to speak to an advisor. I hung up!

Someone offering me an available slot on the front page of Google for a month. Told me they were from Google and then when I queried that, claimed to be an official partner. No one, not even Google themselves, can guarantee you a specific slot on Google. Hang up and ignore.

Called twice in two days, claimed to be named "Alice" the first time (unlikely, given her heavy Indian accent), claimed to be from BT Openreach. We use a VOIP system so I put the phone down. Second time, gave no name but claimed to be calling from "[y]our electricity provider". Paid number I ended the phone call after 2mins to then get a text saying I’ve reached my spend cap, do not call or answer to this number!!!!!

Thi is the second Glasgow number to phone me today about alleged charges on a visa card to Amazon and an international agency. On phoning back, the number is unobtainable, and I assume a banking scam.
