The Same thing happened to me today ... Caller said,"Hello, can I speak to Mr XXXXXX please?" I said "speaking" and he hung up!
SCAM Lady rang this evening from this number. She said her name was Grace and that she was from HMRC. She said that we were due a rebate and was asking for payment details. When asked what their official address was, she put the phone down on me. BEWARE!

An English voice. He asked for me by the correct name and when I said yes he said "Hello Maam, I'm Dean Baker, I'm calling from Microsoft, it's about your computer, how are you today?" I replied with "Oh yes, I've heard all about this type of call, do you still want to carry on?" The phone went dead even before I'd finished my sentence.
