Standard "talk talk" fake call. "Problems with my router". Again. Told them I d bought one previous week from TalkTalk ? where was it, I was still waiting!! Rang off! Previous times, offensive or obscene comments because I told him I knew all about him and his dirty tricks! UK telephone number is bogus ? they are overseas somewhere. NEVER call back.

Type of call: Attempted Fraud! Lady called Carol with a strong Indian accent pretending to be from Microsoft and trying to gain remote access to my PC. Definitely not Microsoft, definitely not calling from the UK, and definitely a scam.

Have been rang by this number at least once a day for about 3 weeks - I normally miss the call as I don t have my phone on my at work. On the one occasion I picked up no one said anything on the other end when I said Hello then they put the phone down. I tried to ring back but it went the the guardian newspaper voicemail - I have no connection with the guardian so I don t think its very legit!

This number is ao.com. They ring it when you ve placed an order in the pretence of confirming delivery details etc. In fact, their sole purpose is to sell you their costly insurance cover for the items you ve bought. No new information re delivery details is provided, they just repeat your order details. These are unsolicited scripted insurance sales calls and as such a form of harassment. They don t leave a message when they ring so that you ring back and incur the cost of the call. Very shoddy behaviour.

Old scam - after your data to sell onto other criminals who disregard the law. Just hang up. Good reporting them to the ICO. You don t even need to know their name, just their number. The criminal fraudsters like Anthony Simister who run scams like TAPA like to plant stooges on these forums to discourage honest folk from contacting the ICO or Ofcom. Ignore them. Was a call center with a whole host of background noise of other people talking on other phones. Said I couldn t hear what they were saying twice and then they just hung up.

Very rude person at call centre asking for my wife and being shirty. Told to go away

I didn t answer the call as very suspicious but rang them back to get info. Say they re claims specialists and got my details from Motor Insurance Bureau. I haven t had an accident and they had my name wrong. Very foreign accents. I suspect a scam. have blocked the number.
