Said it was HMRC and something about money...obviously, but since I heard it was a robotic voice I just hang up. I haven't been called this way by HMRC ...ever ..clearly a scam.
Said they were from BT and wanted to improve my router to increase my internet speed. Tried to get me to log on to anydesk.com, which is a remote access portal. I actually asked them if doing so would give them access to my computer and they said no. Beware!

I live in Plymouth but judging by other comments, they were calling from Darlington. Asked her for name of company and she said Industrial Workers Office. I gave them an earful and hung up. Fraud They said something about a warrant being out for my arrest due to tax evasion and to press 1 before further action was taken. I hung up right away. Quite a scary message and I could see vulnerable people being convinced that this is real.

I had letters and calls from Taurus which I stupidly ignored. I was taken to Court and at the hearing a hearing a gentleman advised me to discuss debt issues. He said Taurus Debt Recovery have a lot of account holders on benefits and they have a friendly and supportive team. I would encourage anyone with debts with them to talk to Taurus. If you don t contact them they will issue court claims and or issue bankruptcy.
