When i answeres the call from 01142223300 there was only a machine saying "good bye". Strange!

I get calls from 0208 numbers every morning but rest of number always different. Yesterday I called back and got a cut off sound, today I called back another 0208 number and got the message that the number is not recognized. They are obviously all fraud, scam, or what you like to call them numbers and I don't understand how BT cant catch these phony landline numbers being used.

They were pretending to be my credit card bank saying £900 was being taken then asked me to ring them,it was auto message

Mostly silent call but heard the word "ah" before it cut off. They're using an autodialler
