Calling from Bewiser re my car insurance. Asked me to confirm my details and gave me an old reg plate from 2 years ago. I hung up.

Missed call on my mobile, no message left. Returned the call but only got an unusual sounding tone. Assume cold call

has called twice today. No message left. Looking at the dialling code it seems the call may be from Kolkata.

Came across convincingly, but had my doubts at certain times, said he was based in Portsmouth from a Bournemouth area code! Yeah right, barge pole and do not touchspringto mind, started getting upset after I wasted a good half hour of his time!

Nuisance call, recorded asking questions about an accident, at first it appears it is a person not a recorded message. It stops after asking question then asks another question....

PPI call according to message on my house answer phone. If they call me again they will appear on my display as SPAM-29 (I am up to -36 on my mobile!)

Old scam - after your data to sell onto other criminals who disregard the law. Just hang up. Good reporting them to the ICO. You don t even need to know their name, just their number. Tried to bombard me about investment products saying they are GE Markets but gave them my peace of mind till cutting the line, they do not even panic if exposed.

I usually don t answer numbers I don t know (as I get a lot), but I felt like answering this time. A bloke with a northern accent asked for Mr Chin . I told him I don t know that name (as it s not my name and I know no one of that name.) The man on the phone then asked: "Are you hiding him?" SCAM They called, claiming they were from some warehouse (I did not understand because the woman's foreign accent was very hard to understand). They asked me which iPhone I have to offer me some 'discount' for an upgraded plan or something. Guess what, I do not have an iPhone. I might have misunderstood something, so it is worth hearing about other people's experiences too, but for now, I consider this a scam.
