I received a fraudulent text from this number, purporting to be from HSBC Bank. It stated that I had authorised a transaction for £240, and if this was not me then I should click the link. Since I've never banked with HSBC, there was even more reason not to click the dodgy link.

Called to tell me that my computer was running slow and offered to take control of my laptop to show me how to cure the problem. This number rang my mobile phone this morning. I didn't answer as I don't answer numbers that I do not recognize. Then I ran a search and found all these notifications of it being, AS I SUSPECTED, a scam number. Needless to say, I won't be ringing them back!

Caller said he was from Microsoft. Said that my PC had been compromised by hackers. After leading him on for a while I asked him straight if he was after money. He said that he was trying to help but then threatened to lock up my computer. I hung up.

I had 16 phone calls from this number (Clinic Compare, part of lasik-eyes) over the space of 5 days asking for me by name because I made an inquiry into laser eye surgery online. They are a waste of time as they want your details to match you with a laser eye clinic. As soon as I said I d already made appointments with other companies she virtually put the phone down on me.
