what seemed to be a recorded message said " Bank fraud squad, your card has been used twice this morning". No other means of identification given. I hung up thinking it was a scam.

Claimed to be from credit card fraud department. Automated message saying a charge of over one hundred pounds has been made on my card from Amazon, also a foreign transaction of over one thousand pounds. Asked me to press buttons to authorise or talk to an advisor. Total scam.

Until recently these numbers were from a lady speaking Chinese, who then switched to English prompting a message that indicted. This number came up on a pop up box when trying to install a new version of Microsoft Office on a Mac. It said you needed to ring the number for help or you would lose the product. This is not the case and this company has no affiliation with Microsoft. It is a scam to get your credit card info and gain access to your computer. Run a separate Google search and ring Microsoft’s real helpline number if this happens to you. If you’ve already given them access to your computer ring Action Fraud.

A scam offering 40% off your O2 account. - I know it is a 100% scam as (a) I have had one of these calls before and (b) I ceased to be an O2 customer 4 years ago. Suspect someone hacked their site or an ex-employee has flogged their data to scammers. Foreign guy said he'd send a special code in a text/email but to not divulge it to anyone - probably because everyone gets the same and they don't want you to compare notes!
