SCAM- 0128 240981 I've been bombarded by calls from similar 0128 numbers for past couple weeks. I finally answered this one today (28th October) and it was a lady with an oversees accent with echoey background noise saying she was from the National Debtline. She knew my name and kept asking me to confirm it but I didn't and I kept asking who she was then hung up when she said she was from the debtline. They don't cold call you and it's a totally different number so I blocked it.

Said they were BT, I had too many people using my IP. The account name was wrong. They said they could block them from their server, but it would be better from my PC. After my challenges they sent a text message with a verification code. It said to change my password. I did. Had one previously, real BT support said it was a scam. Assumed this identical call was too. Only the false account name was a clue, otherwise how can you tell?

Had a phone call from this number. When I answered they hung up. Immediately after, I had a scam message claiming money had been taken from my account re an AirBNB booking. definately a scam

This is a scam number. informed me that i £600 had been illegally taken from my bank. they disconnected me when i asked them to verify the name of the bank. I have reported it to fraud line.

This is my house telephone number in Oswestry Shropshire. A 90 year old lady in some distress phoned me on this number today to ask why I had been contacting her. She told me she lives in Eastbourne and had been contacted from a number purporting to be from this one asking for finacial information. I explained I had not phoned her but it was probably a phishing scam and suggested she blocked it. I feel I needed to report this scam and this number on her behalf. Scum does not adequately label these people.

Was in work busy when these scumbags judging by how many times they appear on consumer forums called. I don’t answer if don’t know no. &/ or area their calling from having no connection to me How are they so prolific when ex directory and TPS registered?! This number rang my Mobile which is only know to a few people. I was told it was HMRC and if i didn't send some paper work i would be liable to prosecution. Told to press option one to speak to some one did so and the person on the end said something like thank you for calling !!!! didn't understand the last bit. I commented I didn't call you did, it then went quiet. I hung up. Both voices were certainly not UK English in speakers. Don't trust this phone number think it's a scam
