Pretending to be curry's/ pc world, Asian guy called James ???? offering cheap phones and contracts at impossible prices, when I told them I wasn't interested they told me "to go to hell and your mother is a bitch......"
Awaiting callback from my GP when this call came. Male caller talked about a free medical emergency pendant, but implied that there was a paid membership. It increasingly sounded like a sales call and I couldn't really see how this related to my medical issue. He asked about my willingness to give a testimonial, talking about medical response times, peace of mind for family - I was becoming further mystified as to why I was being called. Suspicious.

28 Nov. 2022 (17:33) a chap with Indian accent called me claiming to be from BT to say that my computer may have been compromised and that he could check that for me if I switched it on and he ran a quick check. Complete nonsense of course and an attempted scam. He said he was calling from London but the area code is Falkirk (Scotland).

Caller said he was Virgin Media Technical Department and believed I was having trouble with my internet speed. He wanted me to do a speed test but when I said that I couldn't do that he disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never phoned me in the past. As far as I'm aware, Virgin never phone customers when there's any problem so I'm rating this call as dangerous.

Two calls from this number with a recorded voice message claiming £700 has been drawn on our account to Amazon and further £2000 cash transfer, then a couple of number options to press to speak to someone. Needless to say, I hung up. Yet another time-wasting and potentially dangerous scam.
Missed a call from this number but when I ring back, apparently it doesn't exist. It doesn't for me anymore coz I've blocked it.
It hung up on me when I told him to send an email because we do not accept sales calls. that speak for itself...

A Asian guy called saying I have been awarded a 30% discount for being a loyal customer O2 customer. i Left O2 over a couple of years ago, so I checked the number out online while he was talking and the number was listed as a scam call, so knew it was a scam. He said he was going to pass me to customer service. I then spoke to the next Asian guy who said he would send me a message and to except it (phone malware). SCAM . . . . . starts with a text "Where are you? I'm waiting for you". If you reply you will be marked down as a 'responder' and active with replying to texts (or even worse, possibly phone calls). Simply ignore it and block the number.
Given as an opt out no from webuyanycar.com to stop receiving messages but when I tried to send message got an alert saying I would be charged for a premium rate text message.
